The role will report at site level and will work closely with all key stakeholders, including direct contact with major contract logistics clients.To apply for this exciting opportunity, you should ideally have gained experience working as a business finance partner or commercial / management accountant in a fast-moving, dynamic business environment such as retail, wholesale, logistics, transport, or similar sectors.The role will support the business and customer with day-to-day financial analysis, reporting, and operational information to meet objectives, service levels, and contract requirements. You will work directly with senior management to provide analytical insights, strategic guidance, and expert views to support commercial decision-makers.Responsibilities include (but are not limited to):Partner with upper management (business owners, directors, senior management) to provide financial expertise.Work with department heads to determine KPIs and financial targets.Support HR in calculating compensation packages, salary trends, and reviewing forecasts.Work with sales teams to understand financial implications of commercial strategies.Assess the strategic benefits of research & development projects, including short-term returns, risk levels, and KPIs.Alongside strong financial acumen, you should have a commercial understanding of organizational goals and be able to challenge decision-makers to ensure strategies are viable and effectively implemented.
