As part of a project focussed multi disciplined team you will also provide functional expertise to water resource management and environmental impact assessments.About The OpportunityIn this newly created role your remit will includeSupporting excavation dewatering projects, tunnelling projects and assessments for large scale infrastructure projectsScoping, supervising and interpretation of ground investigations to support engineering designProducing and Interpreting groundwater reports to support underground structures design, groundwater management and hydro-geomechanical behaviour assessment.Working in collaborative multidisciplinary teams.Promoting the consideration of engineering hydrogeology to foster innovative project solutions.Liaison with contractors, laboratories and regulators.Here\’s what you\’ll needWe would be delighted to hear from candidates with a blend of the following;Honours degree in earth sciences, or equivalentChartered with the ICE or Geological Society (or similar)Demonstratable track record of technical delivery of engineering hydrogeology projects.Experience of groundwater site characterisation, site investigation supervision and quantitative groundwater assessmentsExposure to supervising in situ testing including variable head tests, packer tests, pumping tests etc.Experience in specifying and supervising the installation of groundwater monitoring instrumentation.A sound knowledge of numerical modelling (such as SEEP/W and/or Groundwater Vistas and/or other similar software)The role will require you to work away from your base office from time to time.Why JacobsJoining Jacobs not only connects you locally but globally.
