You will be providing direct support and assistance to the students in the classroom. These students struggle with additional needs that include autism, ADHD, OCD, school avoidance, stress, and anxiety.You will provide assistance in either 1 to 1 settings or in small groups. You will provide interventions that will help support the children and teach them healthy ways to cope and regulate their emotions. You will also be involved in helping with the general running of the classroom. This will include helping the class teacher with setting up lessons, preparing lessons, keeping the classroom a tidy and inviting environment, helping with general supervision, and managing general classroom behavior.The ideal Emotional Support Worker will be kind, compassionate, and have a passion for helping children. You will be up for a challenge and must be proactive and take initiative.
