Position Summary: The DOT Safety Manager will be responsible for developing, implementing, and overseeing the company’s safety and compliance programs under the guidelines of the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations (FMCSR). This role plays a key part in creating a culture of safety, maintaining fleet compliance, and ensuring all drivers are properly trained, licensed, and following safe driving practices.About Us: Kimble Company is a leader in the Waste and Recycling industry with a strong commitment to safety, compliance, and employee well-being. With a growing fleet and a team of dedicated professionals, we are seeking a knowledgeable and proactive DOT Safety Manager to strengthen our safety program and ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal transportation regulations.Key Responsibilities:Ensure company compliance with all DOT/FMCSA regulations and applicable state laws.Monitor and manage driver qualification files, hours of service (HOS), MVRs, drug and alcohol testing, and other compliance activities.Conduct accident investigations and recommend corrective actions.Lead safety meetings, driver coaching, and ongoing training programs.Perform internal safety audits, inspections, and fleet compliance checks.Track and analyze safety metrics to identify trends and implement improvements.Serve as the primary point of contact during DOT audits and inspections.Collaborate with operations and HR to enforce disciplinary actions when needed.Maintain CSA scores and implement improvement strategies.Manage OSHA reporting related to transportation operations.Qualifications:15+ years of experience in DOT compliance, fleet safety, or transportation safety management.Strong knowledge of FMCSA and DOT regulations.Familiarity with accident investigation procedures and root cause analysis.Excellent communication, leadership, and training skills.Proficient in Microsoft Office.Safety certifications (CDS, CSS, OSHA 30, etc.) are a plus.Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience will be considered.Why Join Us?Competitive salary and benefits packageCareer opportunities in a stable and growing companySupportive team environmentCompany committed to safety and compliance excellenceReady to make an impact on a company that values safety and professionalism?
