This is a 9 month, tenure track position. Rank is commensurate with experience. The traditional BSN program is located in Cullowhee NC with courses delivered face to face with some hybrid courses. It is expected that the successful candidate will possess outstanding communication skills, evidence of sustained scholarly activity, teach and develop online and traditional courses, advise students, participate on committees, and other university activities. In addition, Western Carolina University has adopted the Boyer Model of Scholarship to support its commitment to integrated learning, the scholarship of engagement, and the stewardship of place. Requirements: Masters degree in Nursing or BSN and masters in a related field is required; doctoral degree in nursing or a related field is preferred; eligibility for RN licensure in NC; two years teaching experience and two years prior experience in direct patient care as an RN. Applicants must also meet nurse educator requirements as outlined by the NC Board of Nursing.
