We have an exciting new opportunity to join a growing asset management function within National Grid Electricity Distribution (NGED), as an Asset Programme Analyst within the Asset Programme Management team.You will support the Asset Programme Managers and Lead Programme Analyst to ensure smooth implementation of work programmes to business and regulatory targets in terms of volume of work, expenditure, and against asset risk metrics such as NARM. You will have the opportunity to support large capital investment programmes, including asset replacement, asset refurbishment, civils, reinforcement, maintenance and inspections.You will drive detailed work programmes, liaising with various teams across Operations to communicate programmes of work and track their delivery. This includes tracking against pre-defined lists of assets/activities, identifying delivery issues, investigating and understanding delays and implementing changes to work programmes in response to changes to strategies or in response to feedback from Field Ops and Major Projects.You will also collate and validate completion data for the purpose of regulatory reporting, playing a key role in the annual reporting process.You will be joining at an exciting time in our development, meaning you have the opportunity to help support the delivery of new processes and the utilisation of new software within the team.You’ll be based at one of our offices in Northampton, Stoke or Exeter. Hybrid working is available with a minimum of 2 days per week in the office. # LI-SC2 #LI-HYBRIDIdeal CandidateDemonstrable experience in work programme monitoring or business analyticsIdeally you will have a relevant qualification at Level 5 or higher in a related disciplineKnowledge of DNO assets and work activities, or transferable experience from a similar fieldExperience working with large data sets, ideally including project/programme financial data such as forecasting, actuals and unit costProficient in the use of Microsoft Excel, including macros, Vlookups, pivot tablesExperience with software that may include Crown, E5, Webfocus, Electric Office, SharePoint, Power Bi, SQL Developer, Python, Anaconda or Azure Data Studio.Able to quickly build strong relationships with others and utilise these to collaboratively tackle programme challengesAn innovative thinker, with experience in recognising where processes can be improved and taking the initiative to deliver themA problem solver – able to analyse a problem and propose solutionsHighly organised, strong at planning and coordinating tasksHighly analytical and detail focusedTravel to other locations on an occasional basis would be beneficial, therefore holding a UK driving licence is preferred.National Grid Electricity Distribution is committed to safeguarding the interests of the Company, colleagues and customers.
