We’re seeking an Android Engineer with expertise in low-level Android development (native libraries, kernel work) and Application Security (SELinux, Frida). The role involves tackling advanced camera injection challenges, ensuring injected media mimics real hardware input seamlessly across native Camera and third-party apps using CameraX or Camera2 APIs.What You\’ll Be DoingDeveloping an app or settings interface within the ROM to allow users to select media types for injection (photo, video, network stream)Ensuring injected media replaces live camera feed and displays correctly in the default Camera appMaking injected media recognizable by apps using CameraX or Camera2 as if from the physical cameraSupporting capture functionalities like shutter button and automatic capture for injected mediaTesting and debugging camera injection featuresResearching new camera injection methods and detection techniques across Android devicesBecoming a key member in a new team focused on secure Biometric Identification solutionsWhat You\’ll NeedExperience with Google\’s AOSP and custom ROM developmentStrong knowledge of Android Camera HAL, CameraX, and Camera2 frameworksExperience modifying Android HAL and kernel-level programmingExperience with SE Linux and secure boot mechanismsKnowledge of USB interfaces and data bridging from external sources to Android camera systemsExpertise with device drivers related to Android camerasKnowledge of custom kernel compilation for AndroidUnderstanding of Android 10 system internalsNice to HaveExperience developing virtual camera drivers or media injection into Android camerasExperience with rooted devices, custom recovery (TWRP), and debugging toolsFamiliarity with network streams (RTSP) and media streaming protocols on AndroidSkills with tools like GStreamer or FFmpeg for media handlingBuilding a global financial super app isn’t enough.
