OverviewStirling Dynamics is recruiting DO-254 System / Hardware / Electronics Engineers to join the Software & Electronics Hardware team.The primary focus of the role will be to support the design and development of electric actuator controller products for Urban Air Mobility eVTOL aircraft.This role will be mainly based in the Stirling Dynamics Bristol office with occasional travel to clients’ sites. We offer flexible working options, including hybrid, remote, or working from our parent company Expleo’s offices in Preston or Derby.ResponsibilitiesDeliver DO-254 projects through to certification, providing technical and engineering expertise.Design, specify, verify, and validate electronic controllers for electromechanical aerospace systems.QualificationsAn engineering degree, preferably with an electronics focus, or relevant experience.SkillsProfessional attitude and good communication skills.Team player with collaborative spirit.Ability to multitask and manage multiple requirements.Pragmatic, systematic, and self-motivated to complete tasks.ExperienceAt least 5 years of aerospace product development experience on DO-254 projects.Experience at Senior or Principal Engineer level.Hardware requirements derivation and specification.Design and specification of system electronics architecture, including power electronics and motor drives.Experience with DO-254 planning, development phases, and SOI audits.Knowledge of DO-160, CAN interfaces, position sensors (LVDT, RVDT, encoders), FPGA systems.We offer competitive benefits and a vibrant social environment with regular events.
