This is a high-profile opportunity for an ambitious finance professional looking to play a key role in driving commercial performance, leading finance business partnering, and influencing strategic decision-making across a complex manufacturing operation.
Reporting directly to the Finance Director, you will be a key member of the finance leadership team, providing commercial insight, financial stewardship, and operational challenge to senior stakeholders across the organisation.
The Opportunity
This role offers the chance to reshape how finance supports the wider business, moving from historical reporting towards proactive, insight-led decision-making. You'll lead a team of Finance Business Partners and drive improvements across planning, forecasting, reporting, controls, and business performance.
Key responsibilities:
- Acting as a trusted financial advisor to senior operational and commercial leaders
- Leading and developing a high-performing Finance Business Partnering team
- Owning budgeting, forecasting and long-range planning processes
- Delivering insightful financial reporting, KPI analysis and performance commentary
- Driving financial control, balance sheet governance and compliance
- Identifying risks and opportunities across revenue, margin and cost performance
- Leading finance transformation initiatives, including automation and process improvement
- Supporting investment appraisal, capital allocation decisions and working capital optimisation
- Deputising for the Finance Director where required
The Person
We are looking for a commercially minded finance leader with a proven track record within a manufacturing environment.
You will have:
- ACA, ACCA or CIMA qualification
- Significant senior finance leadership experience
- Previous experience within manufacturing, engineering, industrial or multi-site operations
- Strong commercial acumen and business partnering capability
- Experience leading and developing high-performing finance teams
- Excellent stakeholder management and influencing skills
- Proven ability to drive change, process improvement and finance transformation
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
