Looking for a role where your engineering skills make a real impact? We're recruiting an experienced Multi-Skilled Engineer to join a busy and fast-paced production environment. If you're a hands-on engineer with strong mechanical knowledge, welding and fabrication skills, and enjoy solving problems, we'd love to hear from you.

You'll play a key role in keeping production running efficiently by maintaining and improving factory machinery, reducing downtime, and ensuring equipment operates safely and reliably.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Respond quickly to machinery breakdowns to minimise production downtime.
  • Carry out planned preventative maintenance across factory equipment.
  • Diagnose and repair faults on grading, weighing, washing and packing machinery.
  • Maintain and repair mechanical systems, including motors, gearboxes and drive systems.
  • Support hydraulic and pneumatic maintenance and repairs.
  • Complete welding and fabrication work for machinery repairs and bespoke projects.
  • Ensure all equipment meets engineering, safety and food industry standards.
  • Assist with investigations into foreign object complaints and implement corrective actions.
  • Carry out occasional maintenance on buildings and site services.
  • Keep accurate maintenance records and documentation.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives across the site.

  • Previous experience in a multi-skilled engineering role within a manufacturing or production environment.
  • Strong mechanical engineering knowledge.
  • Welding and fabrication experience.
  • Excellent fault-finding and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work calmly under pressure and prioritise effectively.

  • Understanding of Health & Safety and food safety regulations.
