Market 36 Recruitment are currently recruiting for a proactive and customer-focused Parts Supervisor to support the day-to-day running of the parts and retail team at our client's Wymondham branch.

Main Purpose of the Role

Reporting to the Parts & Retail Manager, you will play a key role in delivering excellent customer service, supporting the team and ensuring the smooth operation of the parts department and showroom.

You will assist with sales, stock control, customer enquiries and showroom standards, whilst acting as an escalation point in the Manager's absence.

The successful candidate will be organised, commercially minded and confident working in a busy, customer-focused environment.

  • Roles & Responsibilities
  • Support the daily operation of the parts department and showroom, allocating tasks as required.
  • Deliver excellent customer service, responding to product and service enquiries in person, by telephone and remotely.
  • Process sales, quotations and orders accurately and efficiently.
  • Source parts from suppliers and other branches as required.
  • Maintain showroom standards, ensuring products are well presented, correctly priced and fully stocked.
  • Coordinate stock movements between depots and assist with regular stock checks.
  • Handle point-of-sale transactions, including cash and card payments, and generate invoices.
  • Promote products, special offers and additional products to maximise sales opportunities.
  • Build strong relationships with customers, suppliers and internal teams.
  • Support the achievement of departmental targets and wider business objectives.
  • Act as an escalation point and provide support to the team in the Parts & Retail Manager's absence.
  • Additional Responsibilities
  • Assist with deliveries, including loading, unloading and packing goods.
  • Maintain accurate stock records and support effective stock control procedures.
  • Keep up to date with product knowledge through training and supplier updates.
  • Ensure all company procedures and health & safety standards are followed.
  • Provide additional support during seasonal peaks, including Harvest.
  • Work flexibly to support the wider team and business as required.
  • Handle confidential information appropriately.
  • Remain calm and professional when working under pressure.

Experience, Skills & Qualifications

  • Previous experience within a retail, showroom, parts or customer-facing environment.
  • Sales experience with a target-driven mindset.
  • Knowledge of horticultural or agricultural machinery/products.
  • Previous experience in stock control or a parts department.
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise tasks in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent communication skills across face-to-face, telephone and email channels.
  • Customer-focused with a friendly and professional approach.
  • Confident handling financial transactions with accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Comfortable using IT systems, email and basic computer applications.
  • A strong team player who can also work independently when required.
  • Flexible approach with the ability to remain calm under pressure.
  • Good attention to detail and a proactive approach to problem solving.
  • Working Pattern & Benefits

Hours: 39 hours per week, Monday to Thursday 8am–5pm and Friday 8am–4pm, including a 1-hour unpaid lunch.

Overtime is required, including additional cover up to 5:30pm Monday to Friday on a rota basis, Saturday working as required and additional hours during seasonal peaks such as Harvest.

Overtime is paid at time and a half following completion of 39 hours Monday to Friday. Sundays and Bank Holidays are paid at double time.
