What You'll Be Doing
As Management Accountant, you'll be at the heart of the finance function, delivering meaningful financial insight that supports growth and performance.
Your responsibilities will include
- Producing monthly management accounts and performance reports.
- Providing insightful analysis and commentary on financial results.
- Investigating and explaining variances against budgets, forecasts and prior performance.
- Supporting budgeting and forecasting processes.
- Preparing balance sheet reconciliations, journals, accruals and prepayments.
- Supporting audit and statutory reporting requirements.
- Partnering with managers across the business to improve profitability and performance.
- Supporting cash flow, cost control and working capital initiatives.
- Identifying opportunities to enhance reporting, controls and financial processes.
- Contributing to systems improvements, automation and transformation projects.
- Supporting and mentoring colleagues where appropriate.
You'll ideally have
Essential
- Part-qualified or qualified ACCA, CIMA, ACA or equivalent.
- Previous Management Accountant experience.
- Strong management accounting and reporting knowledge.
- Advanced Excel skills.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Strong communication skills with the confidence to challenge and influence stakeholders.
- Ability to manage multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Desirable
- Experience within a manufacturing or operational environment.
- SAP or ERP system experience.
- Knowledge of stock, inventory or cost accounting.
- Experience supporting business improvement initiatives.
