Hyas are pleased to be partnering with a local Wolverhampton-based manufacturing business who are looking for some interim support within their finance team.

Your new role

Working in partnership with the Financial Controller, this role provides technical accounting expertise across statutory reporting, audit, taxation, treasury and internal controls.

It serves as a key liaison for external auditors and collaborates closely with Finance colleagues to enhance reporting accuracy, strengthen financial controls, and drive continuous improvement as the business grows.

Duties include

  • Assist in the production of monthly management accounts and statutory reporting for Group entities, ensuring all submissions are completed accurately, on time, and in accordance with Group reporting standards.
  • Act as the key contact for external auditors, managing information requests and coordinating deliverables to support the successful completion of interim and year-end audits.
  • Enhance the finance control framework through the identification of risks and process inefficiencies, implementing improvements to strengthen governance, controls, and financial systems.
  • Maintain fixed asset registers and lease accounting records, ensuring compliance with Group policies and relevant accounting regulations.
  • Coordinate the reporting of R&D expenditure and manage the annual R&D tax relief claim process, liaising with both internal stakeholders and external advisors.
  • Monitor foreign exchange hedging activities and administer intercompany dividend calculations, ensuring accurate accounting treatment and supporting documentation.
  • Provide support for tax compliance activities, including the implementation and ongoing review of transfer pricing arrangements to ensure they remain appropriate and effective.
  • Work collaboratively with Finance and operational teams, delivering technical accounting guidance and contributing to the continuous enhancement of financial reporting and business processes.

You will have suitable experience with the above duties, preferably within a manufacturing or similar industry.

The business are currently using Microsoft 365, experience with this system would be desirable but not essential.
