Are you an experienced Accountant looking for a new role within practice?
We are seeking a Senior Accountant to work for a friendly, accountancy practice based in Wokingham.
The ideal candidate with be qualified ACCA/ACA with extensive accounts experience gained within a UK accountancy firm.
This is essentially a Client Manager role, and the firm may consider exceptional candidates who are seeking a role with reduced hours.
Initially this role will be office based with hybrid working offered after the probation and settling in period.

As Senior Accountant within this well-established practice, your responsibilities will include:
- Managing a portfolio of clients comprising small business and sole traders
- Provide ongoing support and advice to clients and advising as appropriate
- Statutory accounts preparation and review
- Preparing personal and corporation tax returns
- Prepare and submit VAT returns
- Bookkeeping and reconciliations
- Ad hoc duties to support the smooth running of the team
- To be considered for this Senior Accountant position, you will satisfy the following:
- Be ACA or ACCA qualified, although, an exceptional part qualified or qualified by experience accountant may be considered
- Have significant accounts and tax experience within a UK accountancy firm
- Experience of independently managing a portfolio of clients
- Able to prioritise and manage workload to meet deadlines
- Have excellent communication skills
- Be flexible in your approach, self-motivated and diligent
- Experience of a range of accountancy packages such as Sage, Xero, IRIS, CCH, Tax Calc, Free Agent and Excel would be beneficial
- Whilst this role will offer an element of hybrid working after probation, applicants should live within a reasonable commuting distance of Wokingham
