We are recruiting for an Audio-Visual Installation Engineer for a growing Wokingham based company.

Based out of Wokingham, Berkshire the ideal candidate will have an adaptable, flexible can-do attitude, outstanding client facing skills and the willingness to travel.

Training can be provided for the right person as long as you are happy with a power tool, hanging 65" screens etc!

The salary for this role is £26,500 working 37.5 hours a week but there is plenty of overtime available to earn more money.

Must have a driving license as this role is 50/50 warehouse and site based. Travel is in a company vehicle and is mainly around the local/London area.

Main responsibilities for the AV Installation Engineer are

  • Support the sales in providing working solutions and ensuring that equipment is complete and functional.
  • Liaise with customers to understand their needs and requirements.
  • Provide onsite support of equipment during customer events.
  • Support all other internal engineering departments.
  • Preparation and installation of a wide range of AV solutions. The scope of work can range from single items of equipment to large scale event rollouts.

Skills required for the AV Installation Engineer are

  • Experience as an AV Installation Engineer preferred but not essential
  • Be capable of wall mounting Large Format screens which means being confident and competent in the use of handheld power tools.
  • Be able to install free standing screens and video walls
  • Have capability to install and support small PA systems
  • Understand and be able to put together a video conferencing setup of screens and cameras.
  • Have adequate IT skills to be able to install, run and control video content.
  • Be an outstanding team player, working well with others; someone who is not insular to his trade but willing to learn and help others learn a constantly changing variation of equipment.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to communicate professionally and effectively at all levels, both written and verbally.
  • Ability and willingness to travel
  • Have a flexible, adaptable approach in terms of working hours.
  • A full clean driving licence
