I'm recruiting for a commercially minded Management Accountant to play a pivotal role in supporting the long-term financial sustainability and success of a well-established organisation.
Reporting to the Director of Finance, you will work closely with senior leaders and budget holders across the organisation, providing high-quality financial information and analysis to support decision-making at all levels.
Combining strong technical accounting skills with a collaborative business partnering approach, you will help colleagues understand the story behind the numbers whilst supporting a range of strategic initiatives and projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare accurate and timely monthly management accounts.
- Lead budgeting, forecasting and financial planning processes.
- Produce insightful financial analysis and variance reporting.
- Develop and maintain financial models to support strategic decision-making.
- Partner with budget holders and senior stakeholders across the organisation.
- Prepare financial reports, presentations and analysis for senior leadership.
- Support strategic projects and organisational development initiatives.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of financial systems, controls, processes and reporting.
- Ensure compliance with relevant financial and regulatory requirements.
- Line manage and support the development of the small Finance team.
About You
We're looking for an individual who combines strong analytical capability with excellent communication skills and a proactive, solutions-focused approach. You will ideally be:
- ACA, ACCA, CIMA qualified, part-qualified, or QBE able to demonstrate significant relevant management accounting experience.
- Experienced in preparing management accounts, budgets, forecasts and financial analysis.
- Highly proficient in Microsoft Excel, including advanced reporting and financial modelling.
- Able to communicate financial information clearly to non-finance stakeholders.
- Comfortable influencing and challenging stakeholders constructively.
- Experienced in managing competing priorities and meeting deadlines.
- Committed to delivering the highest standards of accuracy, professionalism and integrity.
Desirable Experience
- Sage 200 experience.
- Experience within a complex, multi-stakeholder organisation.
- Experience working within a regulated environment.
