This is an excellent opportunity for an ACA or ACCA-qualified, part-qualified or finalist-level auditor looking to develop their career within a collaborative firm which offers varied client work, hybrid working and ongoing professional development.
The role is based in Woking and is easily commutable from Guildford, Weybridge, West Byfleet, Chertsey, Addlestone, Camberley, Farnborough and surrounding Surrey locations.
The Audit Senior Role
As Audit Senior, you will take responsibility for audit assignments from the initial planning stage through to completion. You will work closely with Managers and Partners while building strong relationships with a varied portfolio of clients. Your responsibilities will include:
- Leading audit assignments from planning through to completion
- Preparing audit files and ensuring work complies with current auditing standards
- Preparing statutory financial statements, including consolidated accounts
- Working with owner-managed businesses, UK subsidiaries and international groups
- Identifying audit and accounting issues and discussing these with senior colleagues
- Managing day-to-day client relationships and acting as a key point of contact
- Reviewing the work of junior team members and providing constructive feedback
- Supporting and mentoring trainees throughout audit assignments
- Ensuring work is completed accurately and within agreed deadlines
- Assisting with accounts preparation and wider business advisory work where required
About You
The successful Audit Senior will ideally have:
- ACA or ACCA qualification, although finalists and recently qualified candidates will also be considered
- Recent audit experience gained within a UK firm of Chartered Accountants
- Experience leading or supervising audit assignments
- A sound understanding of UK GAAP, FRS 102 and relevant auditing standards
- Experience preparing statutory accounts and audit documentation
- The confidence to communicate directly with clients and senior stakeholders
- Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage several assignments simultaneously
- A supportive and collaborative approach to working with junior colleagues
