We currently have a vacancy for a swimming pool engineer, mechanical engineer or trainee engineer to join our team. For over 35 years we have specialised in Automatic Safety Swimming Pool Covers and require a cover engineer. The candidate will be interested in a career installing and maintaining Britain's leading automatic safety covers in prestigious homes and leisure centres all over the UK.

The position involves traveling within the UK with occasional opportunities to travel overseas for short periods for installations and maintenance. The successful candidate will be working across the UK with one of our experienced engineers, travelling to homes and commercial indoor and outdoor pools carrying out installations, servicing and attending breakdowns. To reduce travel, we will organise for overnights to combine visits so occasional nights away will be required.

A fully equipped company van will be provided enabling the candidate to drive to sites from home and out of our office based in Wickford Essex – Upon completion of training. Full training will be provided but it is important that the applicant has some level of mechanical background or understanding and is self-motivated.

Applicants should be prepared for early starts and extended periods of overtime in the peak months, the season starts in March/April - September/October.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: £28,000.00-£31,000.00 per year - could be discussed for senior engineer

Additional pay: Overtime @ 1.5, Photo bonus, Summer bonus
