About the Role

Our client is looking to recruit an experienced Conveyancing Secretary to join their established property team based in Whitstable, near Canterbury.

This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled legal secretary with residential conveyancing experience to provide high-quality administrative and secretarial support to a busy property department.

The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring the smooth running of conveyancing matters while delivering excellent service to clients.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide comprehensive secretarial and administrative support to solicitors and conveyancing fee earners.
  • Assist with the progression of residential conveyancing transactions from instruction through to completion.
  • Prepare and format legal documents, correspondence and reports.
  • Manage diaries, appointments and client communications.
  • Liaise with clients, estate agents, mortgage lenders and other legal professionals.
  • Open and maintain client files, ensuring all records are accurate and up to date.
  • Assist with property searches, enquiries and general conveyancing administration.
  • Monitor deadlines and ensure matters progress efficiently.
  • Handle general administrative tasks to support the wider property team.

About You

The ideal candidate will have

  • Previous experience working as a Conveyancing Secretary or Legal Secretary within a residential property team.
  • A good understanding of the conveyancing process.
