With ambitious expansion plans and an increasingly complex operating environment, the business is looking to strengthen its finance function with the appointment of a Financial Controls Manager.
This is a highly visible role that sits at the heart of finance, partnering with senior stakeholders across the business to enhance governance, strengthen control processes and support ongoing business growth.

The Role Reporting into senior finance leadership, you'll take ownership of the financial controls framework and play a key role in ensuring robust governance across the business.
Key responsibilities include
- Leading the development and continuous improvement of the financial controls framework.
- Reviewing, documenting and enhancing key financial processes and controls.
- Partnering with finance and operational teams to identify control weaknesses and implement practical solutions.
- Performing control testing and assessing the effectiveness of existing processes.
- Supporting audit activity and managing the resolution of audit findings.
- Driving greater consistency, compliance and accountability across the organisation.
- Providing regular updates and recommendations to senior finance stakeholders.
- Supporting finance transformation initiatives, including process improvement and automation projects.
- Managing and developing a small team while overseeing day-to-day controls activity.
- Acting as a trusted adviser to the wider business on risk, governance and controls matters.
About You We're looking for a commercially minded finance professional who enjoys improving processes, influencing stakeholders and driving positive change.
You'll ideally bring:
- ACA, ACCA or equivalent accounting qualification.
- Experience gained within audit, risk, financial controls, internal controls or a related governance function.
- Strong understanding of financial control frameworks and best-practice governance.
- Previous experience operating within a large, complex or multi-site organisation.
- The ability to communicate effectively with both finance and non-finance stakeholders.
- Strong project management and organisational skills.
- A proactive mindset with a passion for continuous improvement.
- Previous management or mentoring experience would be advantageous.
