Are you a Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer looking for a stable, Monday-to-Friday days-based role with a well-established manufacturing business?

We are currently recruiting for a Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer to join a busy manufacturing site in Wellingborough.

This is an excellent opportunity for an engineer with a strong mechanical or electrical maintenance background, with the flexibility to be slightly biased towards either discipline.

The Role

As a Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer, you will be responsible for keeping a range of manufacturing machinery and site equipment running efficiently, carrying out both planned and reactive maintenance.

Your responsibilities will include

  • Carrying out planned preventative maintenance (PPM)
  • Responding to breakdowns and carrying out fault finding
  • Diagnosing mechanical and electrical faults
  • Repairing and maintaining production machinery
  • Supporting continuous improvement across the site
  • Working closely with production teams to minimise downtime
  • Maintaining a safe and efficient working environment

About You

We are looking for an engineer who has

  • Experience working in a manufacturing or industrial environment
  • A strong mechanical or electrical maintenance background
  • Multi-skilled maintenance experience
  • Good fault-finding and diagnostic skills
  • The ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • A recognised engineering qualification such as Level 3 NVQ, City & Guilds or equivalent would be advantageous

A mechanical bias with some electrical capability, or an electrical bias with some mechanical capability, will both be considered.
