Hours: Monday to Thursday 7:00am - 4:00pm | Friday 7:00am - 12:00pm

Our client is a well-established engineering manufacturer specialising in precision steel and duplex castings. Due to continued growth, they are looking to recruit an experienced CNC Programmer to join their skilled production team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Programme, set and operate CNC machinery
  • Prove out new programs and make adjustments where required
  • Optimise machining processes to improve efficiency and productivity
  • Work with FANUC, HURCO and similar CNC control systems
  • Read and interpret engineering drawings and technical specifications
  • Manufacture precision components to tight tolerances
  • Carry out quality inspections to ensure components meet required standards
  • Support continuous improvement activities within the production environment
  • Work closely with production and engineering teams to achieve production targets

Requirements

  • Minimum 3 years' CNC programming experience
  • CNC Milling or CNC Turning (Lathe) experience considered
  • Strong machining and manufacturing background
  • Ability to set, run and prove out programs independently
  • Good understanding of engineering drawings and tolerances
  • Knowledge of FANUC, HURCO or similar control systems advantageous but not essential
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
  • Positive and proactive approach to work
