Reed Insurance London are looing for a candidate to join a leading global company with 80 years of expertise in Trade Credit Insurance, Business Information, and related financial services.
They are looking for a Sales Executive to drive new business sales and support our national efforts, particularly focusing on the Midlands region.
This role offers the chance to be part of a close-knit international organisation where your contributions directly impact our success.
Day-to-day of the role
- Deliver new business sales to meet individual and team targets.
- Liaise with the Commercial Department to ensure prudent Commercial Underwriting of Credit Insurance Business, adhering to Group and UK Rules and Standards.
- Develop interest and awareness in the Credit Insurance market in your allocated geographical region to generate leads and secure profitable business.
- Identify opportunities for all product lines, maximising contribution to the business and converting internal leads.
- Develop and build a network of introducers and a panel of general insurance brokers in your geographical area to provide new business leads.
- Work closely with Commercial Underwriting, the Marketing Department, and any external marketing resources in managing leads and feeding back activity results.
- Ensure a timely and efficient service to prospects and clients in collaboration with the Client Services & Contract Services teams.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Degree educated (2.1) in Finance, Business, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3 years of sales experience; previous experience in the Trade Credit Insurance (TCI) industry is desirable.
- Autonomous with the ability to self-motivate and focus on goals while working independently.
- Strong sales negotiation and communication skills.
- Ability to prioritise tasks and allocate time effectively.
- In-depth familiarity with various contract structures to negotiate between price and risk optimally.
- Knowledge of the current economic climate and its impact on the market.
- Driven and thrives in a target-driven environment.
- Proven track record in meeting and exceeding sales targets.
- Proven ability to build long-term relationships both internally and externally.
- Understanding of compliance in a regulated environment.
