This is an excellent opportunity for a Fire Alarm Engineer seeking secure, long-term employment with training, career progression and a competitive benefits package.
Key Responsibilities
- Service and maintain conventional, addressable, two-wire and wireless fire alarm systems.
- Inspect and service fire extinguishers.
- Carry out servicing and maintenance of emergency lighting systems.
- Service and maintain AOV systems.
- Diagnose faults and respond to emergency call-outs.
- Complete remedial repairs where required.
- Assist with servicing of access control, CCTV and intruder alarm systems where applicable.
- Support the commissioning of fire alarm systems when required.
Skills & Knowledge Required
- Previous experience as a Fire Alarm Engineer.
- Good understanding of BS5839 and BS5266 standards.
- FIA and BAFE qualifications or accreditations are advantageous.
- Knowledge of security systems and associated regulations.
- Understanding of health and safety requirements, including asbestos awareness.
- Strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills.
- Customer-focused with excellent communication skills.
- Positive attitude, team player and a practical, solution-focused approach.
