We're recruiting on behalf of a well-established and growing business for a Payroll Administrator to join their team on a fixed term contract.
This is a varied position offering the opportunity to support payroll operations while assisting with wider HR and administrative tasks.
The Role
As Payroll Administrator, you'll play an integral role in ensuring payroll is processed accurately and on time, whilst providing first-class administrative support across payroll, pensions, benefits and employee records.
Key Responsibilities
- Administer weekly CIS payroll, ensuring timesheets are accurately cross-checked against attendance records.
- Investigate and resolve payroll discrepancies with line managers.
- Process payroll deductions and notifications.
- Produce weekly CIS payment reports.
- Notify payroll of all new starters and leavers.
- Complete monthly PAYE attendance reconciliations.
- Maintain attendance registers and manage the daily sign-in process.
- Support pension and employee benefits administration.
- Assist with confidential payroll information for payroll review meetings.
- Record holiday requests and maintain holiday records.
- Provide general administrative support to the wider team as required.
About You

- Previous payroll administration experience.
- Excellent numerical and analytical skills.
- Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
- Strong Microsoft Excel skills.
- Excellent organisational and time management abilities.
- The ability to prioritise work and meet strict payroll deadlines.

Desirable Experience
- CIS payroll experience.
- CIPP qualification (or working towards).
- Construction or utilities sector experience.
- Previous HR administration experience.
