SRM Recruitment is supporting a growing organisation within the technology and services sector with the appointment of an FP&A Analyst / Commercial Finance Business Partner. This is a highly commercial role suited to someone who enjoys understanding what drives business performance, working directly with operational stakeholders and using financial analysis to influence decisions.

Rather than being purely focused on month-end reporting, you'll work closely with teams across sales, operations and service delivery, providing insight around profitability, contracts, pricing and commercial opportunities.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Partnering with operational and commercial leaders to support business performance
  • Analysing margins, profitability and key financial trends
  • Providing financial insight around new business opportunities and contract renewals
  • Supporting pricing decisions and commercial governance
  • Reviewing the financial implications of customer contracts and recurring-revenue arrangements
  • Producing analysis and reporting that translates financial data into clear recommendations
  • Identifying opportunities to improve profitability, efficiency and overall financial performance
  • Supporting budgeting, forecasting and wider FP&A activity
  • Providing constructive financial challenge to non-finance stakeholders

We're looking for someone with:

  • Experience gained within FP&A, commercial finance, Finance Business Partnering or a commercially focused Management Accountant role
  • Strong analytical and financial-modelling capability
  • Advanced Excel skills
  • Confidence working with and influencing non-finance stakeholders
  • The ability to communicate financial information in a clear, commercially relevant way
  • A curious, proactive and solutions-focused approach
  • Previous exposure to technology, professional services, managed services or recurring-revenue businesses would be useful but isn't essential

This is a great opportunity for someone looking to develop further within commercial finance and FP&A, with significant stakeholder exposure and the opportunity to directly influence business performance. The role offers up to £55,000 plus benefits and hybrid working, with approximately 3 days per week in the office near Warrington.
