Overview BAE Systems are recruiting a Senior Electrical Design Engineer to play a key role in shaping the design and integration of advanced electrical systems within airframe engineering. You'll work as part of a multidisciplinary team to deliver high-quality, safe, and cost-effective designs across the full product lifecycle.
Skills:
- Experience in airframe or equivalent electrical design roles.
- Proficiency in CATIA V5 (or equivalent CAD tool) and familiarity with PLM systems.
- Ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary, integrated team.
- Experience collaborating with external suppliers and partners.
- Strong understanding of product lifecycle governance and safety considerations.
The Job:
- Produce detailed electrical design solutions that meet complex functional and safety requirements.
- Use CATIA V5 Electrical 3D & 2D toolsets to design and install electrical equipment and harness routing.
- Collaborate closely with other engineering disciplines, suppliers, and customers in a team-oriented environment.
- Verify and release design data to project standards while maintaining quality, cost, and schedule.
- Identify and manage technical risks, propose solutions, and support design modifications.
- Mentor and support other design team members to enhance engineering capability.
