Our client is looking for a Senior Legal Counsel to join its London leadership team based in Uxbridge, North-West London, reporting directly to the General Counsel. This is much more than a standard commercial legal role. You'll play a key role in building and developing the legal function, partnering with senior executives across the business and supporting strategic M&A activity.

Description

The role of Senior Legal Counsel will include:

  • Providing legal advice on corporate, commercial, and regulatory matters within the FMCG sector.
  • Draft, review, and negotiate contracts and agreements to protect the organisation's interests.
  • Advise on compliance with applicable laws and regulations, ensuring the business operates within legal boundaries.
  • Manage legal risks and provide solutions to mitigate potential challenges.
  • Support the business with intellectual property and data protection matters.
  • Collaborate with external legal advisors when specialised expertise is required.
  • Deliver training and guidance to internal teams on legal best practices.
  • Stay updated on changes in legislation affecting the FMCG industry and advise accordingly.

Profile

A successful Senior Legal Counsel should have:

  • Qualified Solicitor in the UK or relevant jurisdiction.
  • Strong knowledge of corporate and commercial law, particularly in the FMCG industry.
  • Experience in drafting and negotiating contracts and agreements.
  • Proven ability to manage legal risks and ensure compliance with regulations.
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
