This company, based in Devon, have developed a new medical device that is about to go into mass production to be supplied across the globe.

The role is primarily focused on electrical design and controls, taking existing engineering concepts and developing them into fully engineered, compliant and operational systems.

You will also have the opportunity to develop your PLC programming and controls expertise, with company-funded Siemens training available.

THE ROLE:.

  • Take existing engineering concepts and develop them into fully engineered solutions.
  • Select and specify electrical/control components including sensors, pumps, valves and instrumentation.
  • Produce electrical drawings, schematics and technical documentation.
  • Develop and implement PLC control systems, predominantly using Siemens
  • Develop electrical and control system designs for industrial equipment THE PERSON: A degree/HND/HNC in Electrical Engineering, Electronic Engineering, Controls or a related discipline.
  • Around 5+ years' relevant engineering experience, although candidates with particularly relevant experience will also be considered.
  • Experience producing electrical designs, schematics and technical documentation.
  • Some exposure to PLC/control systems.

Experience selecting electrical, instrumentation or control components.
