Nurse Seekers are currently recruiting for an exciting opportunity for a Deputy Manager to join a small, independent care facility in Torquay. The service provides high-quality care and support to elderly residents and younger adults living with mental health conditions, and is looking for an experienced and dedicated individual to support the management team.
The Role
As Deputy Manager, you will work closely with the Registered Manager to ensure the smooth day-to-day running of the service, maintaining high standards of care and supporting both staff and residents. Key responsibilities will include:
- Supporting the Registered Manager with the day-to-day management of the service
- Ensuring high standards of care and safeguarding are maintained
- Supporting and supervising care staff
- Assisting with staff planning and rotas
- Promoting a positive and person-centred environment
- Helping to ensure compliance with relevant regulations and standards
- Participating in the on-call rota
About You
The successful candidate will have:
- NVQ Level 4 (or equivalent) in Health & Social Care
- Previous experience within a care or mental health setting
- Strong leadership and communication skills
- A genuine passion for supporting vulnerable adults
- The ability to work effectively as part of a management team
- Experience creating and managing staff rotas is preferable
