Design Engineer required. Our client is a growing and innovative equipment manufacturer based in Thame, Oxfordshire. Due to continued growth, they are looking to recruit a Design Engineer to join their collaborative R&D team. This is an excellent opportunity to work on the full product lifecycle, developing bespoke mechanical and electro-mechanical solutions from concept through to manufacture.
Position Overview
- Design and develop mechanical and electro-mechanical components and assemblies using SolidWorks and AutoCAD.
- Produce detailed manufacturing drawings, assemblies and Bills of Materials (BOMs).
- Working closely with procurement and production to support sourcing and quality control.
- Support new product development through prototyping, 3D printing and collaboration with external suppliers.
- Collaborating with the design team to contribute solutions and bespoke designs for customers' requirements.
Position Requirements
- 2+ years of experience within an Electrical or Mechanical Design Engineering role.
- Degree qualified in Mechanical Engineering / Design related subject is desirable.
- Based in a commutable distance of Thame, Oxfordshire.
- Proficient with the use of 3D modelling software, ideally Solidworks.
- Experience with AutoCAD is desirable.
- A knowledge of pneumatics and electrical boards / wiring is advantageous.
Remuneration
- £36,000 - £46,000 - depending on experience.
- 37.5-hour working week (Monday-Friday).
