We're on the lookout for a dedicated Permanent Maintenance Engineer to join our client's team in Swindon, Wiltshire. You'll be responsible for machine setting, carrying out regular inspections, and troubleshooting a variety of mechanical and pneumatic issues—keeping production seamlessly flowing. Responsibilities as a Maintenance Engineer
- Conduct regular inspections of machinery and equipment to identify potential issues early
- Create and follow preventive maintenance schedules to keep equipment running at peak performance
- Troubleshoot and resolve mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic failures swiftly and efficiently
- Maintain detailed records of maintenance activities, repairs, and system upgrades
- Collaborate with production and engineering teams to optimise processes and improve machine reliability
- Ensure all maintenance work complies with safety regulations and operational procedures
Who will fit in well:
- Solid experience in Mechanical Engineering and maintenance practices
- Proficiency in troubleshooting mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic systems
- Knowledge of PLCs, HVAC, and automation systems is a plus
- Excellent communication skills and a proactive, team-oriented mindset
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple tasks under pressure
- Ready to work day shifts from 6pm to 6am on a rotating 4 days on, 4 days off basis
