Join a well-established and highly respected specialist education organisation as the Head of Finance Business Partnering.

This pivotal role offers the opportunity to lead strategic finance initiatives across a growing network of schools, academies, and college provisions supporting children, young people, and adults with additional learning needs.

Day-to-day of the role

  • Lead and develop a team of Senior Finance Business Partners.
  • Review and challenge monthly management accounts across multiple sites.
  • Support budgeting, forecasting, cashflow management, and financial planning.
  • Prepare consolidated financial reports, dashboards, and commentary for senior leadership.
  • Partner with school and academy leaders to provide commercial and strategic financial advice.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives across financial processes and reporting.
  • Support risk management and financial governance across the organisation.
  • Deliver finance training and guidance to operational stakeholders.
  • Deputise for the senior finance leadership team when required.

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • A recognised CCAB accounting qualification (part-qualified and AAT-qualified candidates with significant experience will also be considered).
  • Strong financial management, budgeting, and reporting experience.
  • Previous experience leading and developing finance teams.
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
  • Advanced Excel and systems knowledge.
  • The ability to influence and engage senior stakeholders.
  • Experience within education, public sector, or multi-site organisations is highly desirable.
