This pivotal role offers the opportunity to lead strategic finance initiatives across a growing network of schools, academies, and college provisions supporting children, young people, and adults with additional learning needs.
Day-to-day of the role
- Lead and develop a team of Senior Finance Business Partners.
- Review and challenge monthly management accounts across multiple sites.
- Support budgeting, forecasting, cashflow management, and financial planning.
- Prepare consolidated financial reports, dashboards, and commentary for senior leadership.
- Partner with school and academy leaders to provide commercial and strategic financial advice.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives across financial processes and reporting.
- Support risk management and financial governance across the organisation.
- Deliver finance training and guidance to operational stakeholders.
- Deputise for the senior finance leadership team when required.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- A recognised CCAB accounting qualification (part-qualified and AAT-qualified candidates with significant experience will also be considered).
- Strong financial management, budgeting, and reporting experience.
- Previous experience leading and developing finance teams.
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
- Advanced Excel and systems knowledge.
- The ability to influence and engage senior stakeholders.
- Experience within education, public sector, or multi-site organisations is highly desirable.
