Trainee Field Engineer - South East Staines Office | Field-Based Role | £29,000 - £34,000+ Overtime

Ready to build a career as a Field Engineer? Following a successful year of continued growth, our client is expanding their engineering team and is looking for a Trainee Field Engineer to join their manufacturer-approved team, covering Surrey, Middlesex, Hampshire and London.

What You'll Be Doing

As a Trainee Field Engineer, you'll be trained to carry out a varied range of field-based engineering duties, including:

  • Annual servicing of products
  • Call-outs, repairs and maintenance
  • Diagnostics and fault finding
  • Mechanical and electrical troubleshooting
  • Risk assessments and technical documentation
  • Digital surveying - full training provided
  • Product installation - full training provided
  • Providing a high standard of customer service

No two days will be the same, and you'll have the opportunity to develop your technical skills while working across the South East.

Who We're Looking For

We're looking for someone who is practical, reliable and keen to learn. Ideally, you'll have some experience working in a technical, mechanical or electrical environment, but this isn't essential. Full training will be provided for the right candidate.

You’ll need:

  • A good understanding of mechanical and/or electrical engineering - desirable, not essential
  • A full, clean UK driving licence held for at least 3 years
  • Previous experience providing a high level of customer service
  • A willingness to learn and develop new technical skills
  • Ability to complete a DBS check
  • Ideally based in or around South or West London / Greater London
  • A suitable and secure location to park the company vehicle overnight
