An established and respected law firm in Stoke-on-Trent is looking to recruit an experienced Residential Conveyancer, Residential Property Solicitor, Legal Executive, or Licensed Conveyancer to join its growing Property department. This opportunity is ideal for a conveyancing professional seeking high-quality work within a supportive and collaborative team. The Residential Conveyancer will manage a varied caseload of residential property transactions from instruction through to post-completion, working with the support of an experienced Legal Assistant or Paralegal. Matters will include:

  • Freehold and leasehold sales and purchases
  • Transfers of equity
  • Remortgages
  • New build transactions
  • Shared ownership matters where applicable
  • General residential conveyancing advice for private clients

You will oversee every stage of the conveyancing process, ensuring transactions progress efficiently while maintaining excellent communication with clients, estate agents, lenders and third parties. You will also ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements and internal quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

The Residential Conveyancer will:

  • Independently manage a full caseload of residential conveyancing matters
  • Prepare and review contracts, transfer deeds, mortgage documentation and completion paperwork
  • Raise and respond to pre-contract enquiries
  • Review search results and title documentation, reporting key findings to clients
  • Coordinate exchange of contracts and completions
  • Prepare Stamp Duty Land Tax submissions and oversee post-completion registrations with HM Land Registry
  • Carry out identity verification and source of funds checks in accordance with compliance requirements

Your Profile

You will have experience managing your own residential conveyancing caseload and will be confident handling matters with minimal supervision. Applications are welcomed from:
