We are seeking an experienced Payroll Specialist to join a friendly and supportive accountancy practice team.
This is an excellent opportunity for a payroll professional who is confident managing payroll for a varied client portfolio and enjoys delivering a high standard of client service.
Key Responsibilities
- Managing payroll for a portfolio of clients across a variety of industries
- Processing weekly, fortnightly, and monthly payrolls accurately and on time
- Handling workplace pension submissions and auto-enrolment requirements
- Processing CIS deductions and submissions where required
- Liaising directly with clients and responding to payroll-related queries
- Maintaining confidentiality and ensuring compliance with current payroll legislation
- Supporting the continued growth and development of payroll services
Requirements
- Previous payroll experience, ideally within an accountancy practice environment
- Strong understanding of payroll legislation and procedures
Experience with
- Salary sacrifice schemes
- CIS payroll requirements
- Workplace pensions and auto-enrolment
- Processing payrolls for multiple clients
- Experience using Sage Payroll software is preferred
- Ability to work independently and manage workloads effectively
- Excellent communication and organisational skills
