An established and respected accountancy practice is seeking an experienced Accounts & Audit Senior to join its expanding team.
This is an excellent opportunity for an ambitious accounting professional looking for a varied role combining audit, accounts preparation and client advisory responsibilities.
You will work with a diverse portfolio of businesses, taking ownership of assignments while developing strong client relationships and supporting junior members of the team.
The Role
- Manage accounts and audit assignments for a varied portfolio of clients.
- Prepare year-end financial statements for sole traders, partnerships and limited companies.
- Lead audit assignments from planning through to completion.
- Carry out audit fieldwork, identify issues and ensure files are completed accurately.
- Assist with corporation tax computations and other compliance requirements.
- Act as a key contact for clients, providing professional support and advice.
- Review work completed by junior team members and provide guidance where required.
- Manage workloads effectively to ensure deadlines are achieved.
- Maintain strong technical knowledge and keep up to date with regulatory changes.
- Contribute ideas to improve processes and enhance client service.
About You
- ACA or ACCA qualified, part-qualified or qualified by experience.
- Previous experience within an accountancy practice is essential.
- Strong background in both audit and accounts preparation.
- Experience working with SMEs and owner-managed businesses.
- Confident communicator with strong client-facing skills.
- Well organised with the ability to manage competing deadlines.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to delivering quality work.
- A proactive team player who enjoys supporting colleagues and developing others.
