We are seeking an experienced Finance Manager to join a well-established, mission-driven organisation on a part-time basis (three days per week).

Reporting to the Finance Director, this is a key role with responsibility for the day-to-day running of the finance function and management of a small finance team.

The successful candidate will provide accurate financial reporting, forecasting and commercial insight, while maintaining strong governance and compliance across the organisation.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support and mentor a Finance Assistant

• Oversee transactional finance activities, including

  • Accounts Receivable
  • Accounts Payable
  • Payroll support
  • Produce monthly management accounts and variance analysis
  • Manage budgeting, forecasting, cash flow and investments
  • Prepare statutory accounts and coordinate the year-end audit process
  • Provide financial oversight of capital projects
  • Review, improve and implement financial processes and controls
  • Support senior leadership with financial analysis and decision-making

What We're Looking For

  • Fully qualified accountant (ACA or ACCA)
  • Strong operational finance background
  • Proven experience managing month-end processes
  • Ability to communicate complex financial information to non-finance stakeholders
  • Excellent Excel and Microsoft Office skills
  • Experience of Xero would be advantageous
  • Ability to work onsite three days per week
