We're working with a growing, modern accountancy and business advisory practice in Stamford that is looking to appoint a Qualified Accountant to become the partner's trusted second-in-command. The Opportunity
Working directly alongside the Partner, you will play a pivotal role in supporting the firm's clients and helping to shape the future of the practice. Responsibilities will include:
- Preparing and reviewing statutory accounts
- Producing management accounts and financial reports
- Preparing Corporation Tax and Personal Tax returns
- Reviewing bookkeeping and VAT returns
- Supporting and advising SME clients
- Managing client relationships and acting as a key point of contact
- Assisting with workflow management and practice operations
- Identifying opportunities to improve processes and client service
- Supporting the Partner with the continued growth of the practice and junior staff members
About You
We'd love to speak with candidates who have:
- ACA, ACCA Qualified
- Previous experience within an accountancy practice
- Strong knowledge of accounts preparation and tax compliance
- Experience working with SME and owner-managed business clients
- Familiarity with Xero, QuickBooks, Sage or similar software
- A proactive and client-focused approach
- The ability to work independently and take ownership of client matters
