Sellick Partnership are working with a leading higher education organisation who are seeking an experienced Management Accountant to provide financial insight, support and challenge across a portfolio of Schools and Professional Services.

The responsibilities of the Management Accountant will be

  • Partner with senior stakeholders, providing clear financial advice, insight and constructive challenge to support effective decision making.
  • Lead on budgeting, forecasting and management reporting, identifying key variances, trends and financial risks.
  • Analyse financial performance and provide recommendations to improve efficiency, manage costs and support wider business planning.
  • Provide financial expertise across projects and strategic initiatives, ensuring financial considerations are incorporated into key decisions.
  • Support the wider Finance Business Partnering function while developing and managing junior finance team members.

The ideal candidate for the Management Accountant role will have

  • Significant experience in a Management Accountant, Finance Business Partner or similar senior finance position.
  • Strong experience across management reporting, budgeting, forecasting and financial analysis.
  • Excellent stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence and advise senior colleagues.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving and communication skills, with the ability to turn complex financial information into clear recommendations.
  • A relevant finance qualification, degree or equivalent experience.
  • Higher education experience would be advantageous, although candidates from other complex organisations will be considered.
