You will work closely with the senior team, with the contingency to support and supervise junior members of the team.
The team
The Private Client team advises a broad range of clients, including high-net-worth individuals, families, vulnerable clients and their professional advisers.
The team works across a wide range of Private Client matters, with particular expertise in:
- Court of Protection
- Wills and estate planning
- Lasting Powers of Attorney
- Deputyship matters
- Trusts
- Estate administration
- Vulnerable client work
The team also works closely with other departments across the firm, providing opportunities for cross-referrals and the development of long-term client relationships.
The opportunity
You will take responsibility for a varied caseload, with a particular focus on Court of Protection, Wills and LPA matters.

- Wills and associated lifetime planning

About you
The ideal candidate will have
- 5+ years' PQE
- Strong experience across Court of Protection, Wills and LPA work.
- Experience dealing with deputyship applications and ongoing deputyship matters
- Good technical knowledge of Court of Protection procedures
- The ability to manage a caseload with a high degree of autonomy
- Excellent client care and communication skills
- A sensitive and professional approach when advising vulnerable clients and their families
- Experience supervising or supporting junior lawyers
- Strong organisational and time-management skills
- A collaborative and proactive approach
Experience of professional deputyship, complex Court of Protection applications or higher-value matters would be advantageous.
