This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated, proactive and forward-thinking solicitor looking to join a supportive, like-minded practice.
You will manage a varied private client caseload while developing long-term relationships with clients and contributing to the continued growth of the firm.

The Role
As a Private Client Solicitor, you will manage your own diverse caseload and provide high-quality, practical legal advice to clients across a range of private client matters.
Your caseload will include
- Wills
- Probate and estate administration
- Lasting Powers of Attorney
- Court of Protection matters
You will prepare legal documents and correspondence, interview and advise clients, negotiate where appropriate and ensure matters are progressed efficiently while meeting agreed billing targets.
A key part of the position will be developing strong, long-lasting client relationships by understanding individual circumstances and providing a professional, empathetic and responsive service.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage a varied caseload of private client matters from instruction through to completion.
- Provide clear, practical and commercially appropriate legal advice.
- Build and maintain strong professional relationships with clients, introducers and other contacts.
- Take a proactive approach to client care and business development.
- Maintain and enhance the firm's professional reputation.
- Support Partners and colleagues with marketing, networking and training initiatives.
- Assist with the development and training of colleagues where required.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date files using the firm's case management system.
- Manage your workload effectively, ensuring deadlines and billing targets are achieved.
- Maintain confidentiality and comply with GDPR, Anti-Money Laundering requirements and all relevant professional and regulatory obligations.
About You
We are looking for a qualified solicitor who combines strong technical private client experience with excellent client-care skills.
The successful candidate will ideally have
- 2+ years' PQE in Private Client law.
- Experience handling a broad range of Wills, Probate, LPA and related matters.
- The ability to manage a caseload independently with minimal supervision.
- A proven ability to build and maintain strong professional relationships.
- Excellent organisation and workload-management skills.
- A track record of working towards and achieving billing targets.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- A methodical approach with strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- An empathetic, professional and client-focused manner.
- A proactive, self-motivated and forward-thinking approach.
- Strong IT skills and experience using case management systems.
- Qualified Solicitor status and SRA registration.
- A good understanding of AML and GDPR requirements.
- The ability to obtain a satisfactory DBS check.
