Head of Sales

Chapelhouse is a leading motor retailing group that has been in business for 35 years, with 10 branches across the Northwest specialising in MG, Suzuki and our new brands Omoda and Jaecoo.

In previous years we have been shortlisted for 'Employer of the Year', 'Customer Care Award' and 'Dealer Group of the Year' by the Motor Trader Awards and we are now looking for an enthusiastic and knowledgeable Head of Sales.

JOB PURPOSE

As Head of Sales, you'll take full ownership of the Sales performance, ensuring profitability, operational excellence, and outstanding customer satisfaction.

You'll lead a dedicated sale team, foster a positive working environment, and implement strategies to achieve ambitious business targets.

  • Key Duties and Responsibilities
  • Lead, motivate, and develop the sales team to exceed targets
  • Drive the sales department profitability through effective planning and performance management
  • Develop and maintain a positive working environment that encourages high performance and accountability.
  • Ensure exceptional customer experience and uphold Chapelhouse standards
  • Oversee day-to-day operations, ensuring smooth and efficient processes in car finance, retail sales and administration
  • Collaborate with senior management to align with the company's growth strategy
  • Maintain compliance with all regulatory and manufacturer requirements
  • Analyse sales data to identify trends, challenges and opportunities
  • Report on sales performance to senior management, including analysis of sales metrics, achievements and areas to improve.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of best industry regulations and best practices.

Experience and Qualifications Required for the Role

Essential

  • Candidate should have experience in a Senior Sales Management role with up to 5 years experience preferable within the Motor Trade.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Must have previous motor trade experience, as general sales manager or general manager.

Desirable

  • Proven experience in managing large sales teams in a fast-paced environment across several franchises
  • Demonstrated success in achieving sales targets and driving business growth.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills.
  • Excellent understanding of car finance products, processes, and regulations.
