The successful candidate will join an experienced and collaborative team of specialists, taking responsibility for delivering detailed business surveys and audits while building strong relationships with clients across a varied portfolio. Your Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Conducting comprehensive new business surveys, audit visits and commercial reviews on behalf of a broad client base.
  • Producing detailed, accurate and insightful reports, highlighting key findings, risks and recommendations to support informed lending decisions.
  • Identifying adverse trading trends, potential fraud indicators, security concerns and other commercial risks, escalating where appropriate.
  • Building strong relationships with clients and key stakeholders while delivering a professional and consultative service.
  • Supporting colleagues on larger or more complex audit assignments when required.
  • Managing your own workload effectively to ensure all assignments are completed within agreed timescales and quality standards.
  • Maintaining accurate records of audit findings and ensuring all documentation is completed in line with regulatory and client requirements.
  • Escalating complex issues and exceptions to senior management where necessary.
  • Identifying opportunities to improve internal processes while sharing knowledge and best practice across the wider team.
  • Contributing to team meetings, special projects and wider business initiatives as required.

What You Will Need to Apply:

The ideal candidate for this role will have previous experience within a business surveying, auditing or commercial risk position, alongside a strong understanding of business operations and financial analysis. Applicants with exposure to invoice finance, asset-based lending, factoring or invoice discounting environments will be highly advantageous, although candidates with broader commercial audit or financial services experience will also be considered.

Candidates should possess excellent investigative and analytical skills, with the ability to assess financial information, identify commercial risks and produce clear, well-structured reports. Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple assignments independently will be essential. Excellent communication and relationship-building skills are equally important, with applicants expected to engage confidently with clients and stakeholders at all levels while delivering a consistently high standard of customer service.

The successful individual will be proactive, detail-oriented and commercially aware, with a strong work ethic and a desire to continually develop their expertise. They will also possess excellent IT skills, be comfortable working with a variety of financial systems and accounting packages, and hold a full UK driving licence due to the travel requirements of the role.
