We're recruiting for an Assistant Company Secretary to join a successful financial services business. Working closely with an experienced Group General Counsel & Company Secretary, you'll support the delivery of company secretarial and governance services across a diverse portfolio of listed, regulated and private companies. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to develop a long-term career in company secretarial practice within a supportive environment where no two days will be the same!
What you'll be doing:
- Preparing Board and Committee agendas and meeting packs
- Attending meetings and producing high-quality minutes
- Drafting governance documentation and Board resolutions
- Managing statutory records and Companies House filings
- Supporting Annual Reports, Annual General Meetings and regulatory announcements
- Assisting with corporate governance and compliance requirements
- Supporting share schemes, corporate projects and restructures
- Building strong relationships with Directors, senior stakeholders and external advisers
About you:
- CGI qualified, studying towards qualification, or committed to becoming qualified
- Experienced in UK company secretarial practice with knowledge of the Companies Act 2006
- Confident preparing Board papers and taking Board minutes
- Highly organised, proactive and detail-focused
- An excellent communicator with strong written English
- Comfortable working with senior stakeholders
- Experience within a listed company, financial services or another regulated environment would be advantageous.
