Fortis Recruitment are working with a leading aerospace company in Slough to recruit a machine operator to join their team. This is a Monday to Friday role working day shifts, with generally available overtime during the week and sometimes on Saturdays, paid at an enhanced rate.
The successful candidate will have a technical engineering background. Ideally, you will have experience in CNC operating, technical assembly from complex drawings, or a vocational engineering qualification. We are looking for candidates who can develop from operating machines to setting and eventually programming them – all training will be provided to develop in the role.
Role responsibilities:
- Read and interpret job cards/techniques and diagrams to select, position and machine products according to the relevant specification.
- Set up and operate machines in accordance with established procedures and guidelines.
- Adjust machine settings to complete tasks accurately, according to specifications and in a timely fashion.
- Housekeeping and general safety awareness.
Role requirements:
- Engineering and/or technical awareness.
- Knowledge of production procedures.
- Good communication skills, verbally and written.
- Attention to detail.
- Team player.
