We are seeking an ambitious qualified accountant and/or chartered tax advisor to join our dynamic finance team as a Tax Advisor/Accountant.
This role offers the opportunity to work on a diverse portfolio of tax-focused tasks and to develop into a senior managerial position, overseeing the operations of our office.
Day-to-day of the role
- Collaborate closely with finance professionals to deliver tax-focused work.
- Take responsibility for the oversight and development of our Tax Assistant and the implementation of MTD for Income Tax from April 2027.
- Conduct tax-focused management reviews of all financial information produced, including management accounts, VAT returns, budgets, forecasts, and year-end financial statements.
- Prepare and review financial information for UK Trusts and assist in the preparation of personal and trust tax returns, computations, and IHT returns for lifetime gifts.
- Assist in investment planning to utilise available EIS and SEIS reliefs.
- Ensure compliance with UK tax regulations and liaise with tax advisers in various countries to ensure international compliance.
- Work closely with the Head of Tax on the delivery of our tax compliance and reporting programme.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- At least three years of relevant experience within a practice or tax environment.
- A genuine passion for tax work and a proactive, solution-focused approach.
- Excellent administration and communication skills, with the ability to prioritise competing workstreams while maintaining high accuracy and attention to detail.
- Integrity, discretion, and the ability to handle confidential information.
- Excellent IT skills and a commitment to maintaining CPD.
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team.
