NET Recruit is pleased to continue its successful partnership with a leading name in the HVAC industry on their search for a Senior Service Sales Engineer.

The organisation is continuing to expand its operations and is therefore seeking an experienced and commercially driven sales professional to join the team on a permanent, full-time basis.

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced sales professional to take ownership of customer relationships and sales activity across the North East region, including Yorkshire and the Newcastle area.

The role will focus strongly on service sales within the HVAC and process cooling sector, combining new business development with the retention and growth of existing customer accounts.

Ideally, candidates will be based within the region and able to travel extensively throughout the territory to visit customers and develop new opportunities.

Your Role & Responsibilities:
While in this position your duties may include but are not limited to:

  • Promoting and selling HVAC, process cooling, service, maintenance, and repair solutions to new and existing customers.
  • Developing new business opportunities across the North East, Yorkshire, Newcastle, and surrounding areas.
  • Identifying opportunities to sell maintenance agreements, service contracts, repairs, and other ongoing service solutions.
  • Developing and implementing sales strategies to generate leads and convert them into commercial opportunities.
  • Building, managing, and maintaining a strong sales pipeline while ensuring the CRM system remains accurate and up to date.
  • Developing existing customer accounts by identifying opportunities for additional services, equipment, and solutions.
  • Building long-term relationships with key customers and acting as a trusted commercial and technical point of contact.
  • Conducting customer meetings, site visits, and assessments to understand requirements and identify appropriate solutions.
  • Working closely with engineering, service, and project management teams to ensure proposed solutions meet customer requirements.
  • Providing technical guidance to customers and explaining the benefits of relevant HVAC and process cooling solutions.
  • Preparing quotations, proposals, sales forecasts, and other commercial documentation as required.
  • Conducting market research to identify emerging trends, competitor activity, and potential new business opportunities.
  • Following up on sales opportunities and customer enquiries to maximise conversion and revenue.
  • Providing appropriate after-sales support and coordinating with technical teams to resolve customer queries or issues.
  • Monitoring account performance and identifying opportunities to retain and grow existing business.
  • Working towards agreed sales targets and contributing directly to wider regional growth objectives.
  • Ensuring all sales activity is conducted in accordance with company QHSE requirements, internal policies, and relevant procedures.
  • What You Will Need to

Apply:
To be considered for this opportunity, you will need to have a proven track record in sales, ideally gained within HVAC, refrigeration, process cooling, engineering services, or a related technical sector.

Experience specifically within service sales would be highly advantageous, particularly where you have sold maintenance agreements, service contracts, planned preventative maintenance, repair solutions, or similar ongoing customer services.

Candidates with experience selling capital equipment or other technical equipment into relevant markets will also be considered.

You will need to be comfortable winning new business, developing existing customer relationships, and retaining and growing current accounts.

You will have strong commercial awareness and be proactive in identifying opportunities within your customer base and territory.

A proven history of meeting or exceeding sales targets, together with strong negotiation and relationship-building skills, will be important.

The ability to understand technical concepts and communicate them clearly and confidently to customers is essential.

Strong customer service skills are also required, as you will be responsible for developing long-term partnerships and ensuring customers receive appropriate solutions.

You should be self-motivated and organised, with the ability to manage your own territory, prioritise opportunities, and work effectively with limited supervision.

Experience using CRM systems and Microsoft Office is expected.

Ideally, you will be based within the North East region, Yorkshire, or around the Newcastle area, with the flexibility to travel extensively throughout the territory for customer meetings and site visits.

A valid driving licence is essential.
