The Role: As a Commercial Insurance Account Handler, you will play a pivotal role in managing client relationships and driving business success across a diverse range of Commercial lines (including Commercial Combined, Fleet, Liability, and Financial Lines).

  • Client Relationship Management: Build, nurture, and maintain strong, trusted relationships with commercial clients across various sectors.
  • Risk & Needs Analysis: Thoroughly assess and understand client requirements to ensure their risk profile is fully covered.
  • Broking & Negotiation: Handle portfolio premiums ranging from £500 to £30,000, liaising directly with top-market insurers to negotiate optimal terms and competitive pricing.
  • Solution Delivery: Present tailored insurance options clearly back to clients, address queries, and successfully secure renewals and new business.

What We Are Looking For:

  • Proven Experience: A minimum of 2–3 years of experience in General / Commercial Insurance handling.
  • Technical Knowledge: Exposure to key commercial classes (Combined, Fleet, Liability, Financial Lines).
  • Qualifications: Progress towards CII / Cert CII qualifications is desirable (support for further study is provided).
  • Communication: Exceptional verbal and written communication skills with strong negotiation abilities.
  • Location: Based within a reasonable, commutable distance of the Rugby office (or willing to relocate).
