As a Senior Town Planner, you will play a key role in delivering planning advice and managing projects from inception through to completion, while building strong relationships with clients, local authorities and key stakeholders.

The Role

Key responsibilities will include

  • Managing a varied portfolio of planning projects across multiple sectors.
  • Preparing and submitting planning applications, appeals and site promotion strategies.
  • Providing clear and commercially focused planning advice to clients.
  • Undertaking site appraisals and planning due diligence assessments.
  • Managing relationships with local authorities, consultees and stakeholders.
  • Supporting junior team members through mentoring and technical guidance.
  • Assisting with business development activities and helping to identify new opportunities.

About You

The successful candidate will have

  • A degree in Town Planning or a related discipline.
  • MRTPI qualification (or working towards chartership with relevant experience).
  • Proven experience within a planning consultancy, local authority or development environment.
  • Strong knowledge of the UK planning system and planning policy.
  • Excellent report writing, communication and project management skills.
  • The ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines effectively.
  • A proactive and commercially minded approach.
